Day 1:
We landed around 2 am Seattle time and 5 am Maryland time. Keep in mind we were supposed to leave DC around 6 or so MD time, and ended up leaving past midnight. We immediately went to sleep, and when we woke up, we went to Pike Place Market, since there was literally some milk, tortilla chips, and a box of granola in our pantry. We also went to a crumpet shop for breakfast.
Day 2: Mom and the boys went to the Seattle Center, where there is a cool fountain, the EMP museum, and the Space Needle.
Day 3: Same, but I went too!
Day 4:We went to the Olympic sculpture park, Seattle Aquarium, and Pike Place market. This time we explored all of the like seven or so levels, and found a cool geeky comic shop!
Can you guess what this is? It's a huge typewriter eraser!
Day 6: We went to the Chihuly Glass Museum, which everyone else loved, but i didn't think was that cool.
Day 7:EMP Museum! It was so cool. There were exhibits on a ton of my favorite things: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Video Games, Music, and Star Wars! Each exhibit was decorated like you were in that genre, or like the content of the exhibit. Example: Fantasy had a giant silver plated tree, and a sleeping dragon in a cage. In the Gaming exhibit, Colin and I played Never Alone, which is about a girl and here arctic fox. The Star Wars exhibit was all about the costumes, and had a tone of them on display. Im pretty sure we went to the Space Needle today too, but I can't remember. The view was so good, and you could see the entire city!
Day 8: We went with some of my Dad's friends to Bainbridge Island, and took the ferry. It was very cute, and we had some great sandwiches.
Day 9: We went to visit my dad at Microsoft, where he is working. Down the street was Nintendo, so we took a picture there too. Colin ate sushi, which I was disgusted by, and then we went to the Microsoft visitor center.
Day 10: We went to the Woodland Park Zoo, which was pretty cool. Then we went to Pies a la Mode, and got some great pie. We shared a slice of mint grasshopper and a slice of mexican chocolate.
STOP! You have 15 seconds to find which of the things in the picture below doesn't belong!!
If you found it, congrats!, if not, look at the bottom of the post.
Day 12: Tim and Mom went to the Burke Natural History Museum and the University of Washington. Since I wasn't there, I can't really offer any insight.
Day 13: We went to a Seattle Sounders soccer game. It was against DC united, which is our home team! It stayed tied 0-0 until the 87th minute when the Sounders scored. The 87th minute! It was so close to being a tie! Tim and Colin went to see jurassic world, and Mom and I went to yellow leaf bakery.
Day 14: (July 4th) WE went to the Wooden Boat festival, at lake union, and ZEEK'S PIZZA, which was very good. WE watched the fireworks from our balcony, because of our great view of the lake where they were going off.
Day 15: This was a stay in and be lazy day.
Day 16:This was one of my favorite days. We went to a beach nearby, and rented a kayak and stand up paddle board. My favorite was the paddle board. If you've never been on one, it's like a surf board, but wider, and you push yourself around a calm lake with a paddle, or oar. We then went to the beach area, which was very strange. You had to take a swim test if you going past an area that was about 1.5 feet deep. Also, It wasn't sandy. I know not all beaches were sandy, a lot are rocky, but this one had gravel instead of sand or rocks. And there were concrete steps leading into the water!
This is all for this post, I know its been five days since the last recorded day, but I would have to update the list that I have. It will come though, so don't worry. Also, a lot of these days, we go to the pool or the gym that are in our apartment building, which is nice. another note, we don't have a car, so we either walk or take the bus to everything. I will write soon, and if i don't, comment a bunch so I get a lot of notifications. Have a good Summer!
